Nashville Recovery Center’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a full day of person-centered programming designed to give each client the tools they need to establish a strong foundation of recovery. While in PHP, clients will meet with their therapist individually once per week and see the psychiatrist as needed for medication management.
The morning portion of programming features therapeutic process groups designed to treat the underlying causes that show up in self-defeating behavioral patterns and addictions, preventing individuals from living the happy, peaceful, abundant life they deserve. We seek to empower each individual client on their unique healing journey by providing an integrated approach that incorporates the following modalities:
After breaking for lunch, the afternoon groups resume with a specialized curriculum focused on twelve step immersion and life skills. These groups offer clients both the deep spiritual and emotional experiences needed to jumpstart their life in recovery as well as the practical skills to navigate life’s stresses without being tempted to relapse or fall back into old behaviors.
The focus of the twelve step immersion groups is to give clients the opportunity to examine the consequences of their addiction and the unmanageability it brought into their lives in a safe space. Facilitators will guide the process as the client embraces their need for a fundamental change in their approach to life culminating in a powerful experiential surrender group.
The life skills groups are designed to go hand in hand with our therapeutic programming to provide clients with the practical skills needed to successfully rebuild their lives in sobriety. With a curriculum designed by experts in the field of addiction recovery, our life skills groups focus specifically on the practical areas of life most negatively impacted by substance abuse, such as:
After completing the PHP program, clients step down into IOP (Intensive Outpatient) level of care and begin attending groups in the morning only. Moving from full day to half day programming is an important part of Nashville Recovery Center’s progressive care model. This approach seeks to ensure that clients are transitioned gradually toward independence at a pace that allows sufficient time to acclimate to new freedoms. While in IOP clients will continue to meet with their therapist individually once per week.
Throughout IOP, clients in our NRhythm Housing will spend afternoons applying to jobs, volunteering in the community, or getting back into school, while learning how to balance these responsibilities with their recovery. Our staff will walk shoulder to shoulder with clients as they integrate these new aspects of their sober lives into their day alongside morning clinical programming and evening twelve step meetings.
